We all know that time is money, that being said, this makes it pretty simple to figure out which bed liner is the easiest to install. Obviously the one that takes the least amount of time would be a definite contender. A “Do It Yourself” bed liner is a bed liner or chemical compound that the end user is installing to give the trucks bed additional protection.  Some of these DIY bed liners can take several hours to apply and several days to cure. There is even one DIY bed liner that takes 3-4 hours of prep (preparation) time and then 2 days between coats, there is a base coat that takes 2 hours on average to apply then you have to wait a day to apply the first protective layer, then 2 days later you can apply the second coat, and if another coat is needed then 2 days after that you can apply the third coat. If you choose this particular DIY bed liner you would probably be very unhappy about the amount of time this process takes. Especially when you find out that it only offers limited scratch protection and almost no dent protection.

"5 Days Later You Will Be Finished Installing This DIY Bed Liner"

The above mentioned 5 day process of that particular DIY bed liner was definitely not the easiest to install. We found one bed liner that the installation took only 15 minute, with virtually no prep time. I said virtually because included in the box that the bed liner comes right to your door, is a DVD that shows you step by step detailed installation instructions. It was so easy that I think that my 5 year old daughter could have figured it out, really she could. It was basically like doing a 5piece puzzle that was labeled exactly what each piece was and where it was supposed to go.  No messy chemicals that spill on the drive way or worse on your hands, that can not be cleaned off.

The “Easiest Do It Yourself Bed Liner” is the Dual Liner, you can order it from the comfort of your living room and it ships right to your door. When it arrives you watch the install DVD if you haven’t already at DualLiner.com, then you first put in the load guard. It slides right in place over the top edge, then the sidewalls snap in place. There are a couple of fasteners that hold these pieces together. Next the tail gate protector requires you to remove the latch hardware, then slip on the tailgate piece in place then reinstall the latch hardware. The last step is rolling out the Zero Skid mat and tucking it into the channels built at the bottom of the sidewall pieces. Oh there is one more step that I did,I showed my neighbor my bed liner and I handed the DVD to him, he had just bought his truck and did not have a bed liner in it yet, about three days later I saw the Dual Liner box sitting on his front porch.

A couple months went by and we just recently were talking about the Dual Liner. Neither one of us have had a bed liner that offered this level of protection, both against dents as well as against scratches. I think that there are a lot of people out there that have no idea about the Dual Liner. I wanted to write this article also to oppose the popular perception that a DIY bed liner was a lesser or lacking bed liner, when the Dual Liner clearly out protects any other type of bed liner.
